To get free DLC for Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age 2, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3, players must first already have these titles in their Origin library. These RPG series are beloved by their fans for taking them on rich fantasy or sci-fi adventures. While not everything the studio makes falls into the category of being a Mass Effect or Dragon Age game, many fans are primarily familiar with the titles coming out of those franchises.
